Do credit repair services work? Which is the best agency to go through?

I have paid for alllllll of my old collection accounts and I’m just waiting for them to drop off of my credit reports. I’ve been looking into credit repair service on line and wondering if they can actually help. All of the items on my reports are actually MINE and I did actually owe them, but they are all FINALLY paid off. Is there any hope to get them removed quickly?

    From what I have read about them, they can help. They however do not have the ability to do anything that you cannot own your own. All they can do is ask for things to be removed for you, but they cannot force them to remove anything from your report that has been legitimately reported. Basically you would be paying to have someone send letters for you and you can probably find templates for the letter free online. d3

    Credit repair service only work for the credit repair company. They get your money and there is very little they can do for you that you cannot do for yourself.

    If you paid off your old accounts, leave them there. Check your report and make sure that they show as paid in full.

    If you have a bankruptcy, that information stays on your record for up to 10 years, but the impact of the bankruptcy decreases over time. Robc
