Do you mean debt consolidation? If so, I wouldn’t waste your money. All they do is take a list of your current debts that need to be paid and they work with your creditors to get rid of finance charges, late fees, etc. and set up payment arrangements. The debt WILL still show up on your credit report, but it’ll show up as paid. That’s a plus, because you DO need to pay off your bad debts, but when you apply for new credit, even though they’ve been paid, they’ll still show up as delinquent/collection accounts, and a creditor will take that into consideration when deciding to approve you.

I’d just talk with your creditors individually as they call you and work on setting up payment arrangements. You’ll end up with the same outcome (will be paid but will still show up on your credit report), but you’ll have saved the fees that you would have paid the debt consolidation company for “helping” you. sunshinyorange

Be very careful with these companies, there are many bogus ones out their who just take your money and you end up much worse off. I would talk to a bank and get recomendations from them.
