Right now, you don't have ANY open accounts that's been opened for 6 months, which would explain why you would want to open the credit card. Have you had accounts that are now in collections or never applied for credit until now? Either way, what I would suggest would be to open a secured credit card. While a cash deposit which is used as collateral to establish credit is required, it's the easiest major credit card to get approved for. You're simply saying that by me using my own money, I will take on the risk if I don't pay it. For example, you don't have another credit card or auto loan that you have paid consecutively for 6 months.
