Credit problem?

credit problem
Igor asked:

I applied for a credit card and they rejected my application. They say that “the profile report does not contain any tradelines that have been open for at least 6 months”. Can anybody please explain to me what does it mean?

I believe it means that you have no single past history, of at least a 6 month term with any single creditor. For example, you don’t have another credit card or auto loan that you have paid consecutively for 6 months. Crazy trying to get credit went you don’t have any, or then, when you do, if it’s not perfect! Popsfav

I think they mean, You have not had any opens accounts for more than 6 months. You need to establish more credit with your open accounts. msldybug2003

I work for a credit card company and I can tell you exactly what that means. Right now, you don’t have ANY open accounts that’s been opened for 6 months, which would explain why you would want to open the credit card. Have you had accounts that are now in collections or never applied for credit until now? Either way, what I would suggest would be to open a secured credit card. While a cash deposit which is used as collateral to establish credit is required, it’s the easiest major credit card to get approved for. You’re simply saying that by me using my own money, I will take on the risk if I don’t pay it. If you prove you can pay on time, you will get the deposit back sometime later on. $m¤¤v¥ £¤¢¤
