Cyn asked: The husband wanted to know about his credit and I did a request at equifax. It came back saying that he opened a mortgage in March 2006. We have never owned a home. Equifax would not display his credit report and we encountered the same problems with the other two credit reporting agencies. Also, one of them had us go through a series of names and phone numbers that we had never seen before. Has someone stolen his ID?

jumperjacob asked: OK Here’s the situation…… I have a FICO score of 663 according to the purchase of my Equifax credit report on myfico.com….I own a “annual payment visa card with a limit of $750 (increased from original of $250) over the last year and a half and WalMart Credit card with a limit of about the same (increased as well)….. I want to buy an engagement ring for my girlfriend. I have $3,200 in cash and the ring I want is $4700, so I need to finance the last $1,500. My best financial choice would be to get a credit card with a 12 month 0% APR, so I can pay the $1,500 off no problem in 12 months. BUT, I don’t want to apply for some of these cards, (Most are platinum) if it will hurt my credit score if I’m rejected. Will I be accepted? My balance on the other two cards is like $100 total, I’ve paid them off consistently. (never late) but I am improving on past credit problems from like 7 years ago. . Will I get rejected for these 0% Introductory APR cards?

Linda A asked: The gal Bob was married to previously had an operation to help with an obesity problem. The health insurance did not pay so they got a loan and both signed. When they divorced, she said she would pay that bill and this is reflected in the divorce which Bob did himself. Now she has stopped paying and it’s reflecting on Bob’s credit. She has moved to California to avoid having a judgment placed on her and we’re stuck with this negative information on his credit score. All the professionals we’ve consulted tell us the only way out is to pay it ourselves but we really can’t afford to take on this financial burden. I would very much appreciate hearing from anyone who’s been through this or has successfully fought a similar problem.

MorrisW asked: If someone has let’s say a bad credit history in Canada, could this somehow affect the credit rating in the United States? Is there such a thing as an international credit report?

Jesse asked: I applied to Circle K gas station for a job.And was just wondering if having bad credit would effect me from getting the job.I got laid off about 8 months ago and havent been able to pay credit card bills.Ive paid car payment loads, its just credit card bills and my old phone plan with verison still needs paid.Would these being unpaid effect this type of job im applying for or any other types of jobs?I hope not because makes it hard to pay them off if i cant get hired because of them being unpaid.

Ashley M asked: I ruined my credit in college and as a result I have about $10,000 in debt. Most of the accounts are in collections, charge offs, or past due. The only thing positive on the report are my student loans and my car loan. I have heard of disputing the reports, but I also want to find a credit repair firm that will allow me to make payment arrangements. I want to improve my credit rating so that I can purchase a home in a few years, get approved for more credit cards and also get a new car.
