Were you approved for Directv even though you had bad credit? If so, how much deposit did you have to pay?

I have:

- one credit card in good (positive) standing, although fairly new.

- one PAID collection from an apartment complex ($600) (1+ year old)

- one PAID collection from a cable company ($150) (7 months old)

My average credit scrore is around 580

My credit is bad but I’m trying to repair it. It will be 5 to 6 years before my crdit is back in good standing. Will I have to wait that long before I can buy a house?

My dad has BAD credit score, but he brings home the money. His credit score is like 500-600 range.

My mom can’t get a loan because she has no proof of income, but my dad can’t get a loan either because he has bad credit.

Is there ANY possible, LEGAL way for my mom to get a loan (so we have low interest rate) but my dad supplies the money for my mom to pay?

Hi! I have a friend who lives in California who lost his job three years ago. He stopped paying his credit cards coz he lost his job and now he has bad credit. Creditors have been calling him since. Can he go to jail for having bad credit on his credit cards? What should he do to fix this and get good credit again? His had good credit for 14 years.
